SAN DIEGO, California — CARV Expo, the new, forward-thinking board sports and adventure industry trade event taking place June 20-22 at the San Diego Convention Center, today announced the latest brands to join the show floor and the official opening of media registration.
CARV (California Action Retailer + Venture) is committed to curating a diverse and representative trade show community, which is why we’re proud to be welcoming pioneering legacy brands Quiksilver and Rip Curl, both born in Torquay, Australia 55 years ago. Both also remain part of the fabric of the surf industry today.

“We’re stoked to be part of the first-ever CARV Expo,” said Quiksilver Senior Vice President Ryan Mangan. “With the long absence of a major trade show on the West Coast, CARV is filling a much-needed gap, bringing the industry together to connect, inspire, and push the culture forward. Quiksilver is proud to be part of this new chapter.”
CARV Expo also remains committed to spotlighting a newer generation of highly influential and exciting apparel brands by welcoming Finisterre, a leader in renewable materials and wetsuit design; eco-forward clothing manufacturer, Jetty; and Oceanside-born Brixton, which has deep roots in surf, skate and music.
“We are super excited to be exhibiting at the first CARV show here in our backyard!” says Brixton Senior Director of Specialty Sales, Sean Fleuriau. “SoCal is home to so many great brands and retailers, and bringing a new trade show platform back to San Diego is something we have all missed since ASR.”
As CARV Expo endeavors to be a true lifestyle show, the team also continues to grow its carefully curated list of non-endemic attendees, which now includes the leaders in binocular tech, Nocs Provisions and popular sunglasses buddy, Chums.
“The curation is the real challenge with a show like CARV,” says co-founder Josh Rifkin. “It’s been incredible to see how the industry has rallied around this event. Everyone knows we need to press the reset button on the surf and skate industries and this just shows people are serious about it—and are positive about the future of action sports.”
Also announced today was CARV’s new media registration portal, open to endemic and non-endemic journalists, podcasters, publications, and online outlets. Only credentialed media will be given all access to the show, after parties, panel discussions, and related CARV events over the weekend. Please register at www.carvexpo.com to begin receiving exclusive CARV updates and access to the CARV team for interview, including co-founder Josh Rifkin, Retail Advisory Board members, and Retail Relations Manager, Abraham Paskowitz.
CARV Expo is an industry event being shaped by those in the industry, for the industry.
